Polarity number eight is: YANG & YIN. Seeking and receiving. In ancient Chinese philosophy these fundamental principles of the universe are recognized as simultaneously opposite, interdependent, and inter-transformative. The philosophy of yang and yin illuminates how all positive-positive polarities are, in a way, equals seeking balance and harmony. However, another aspect of all positive-positive polarities, which is brought out by modern polarity theory, is how the two poles also exhibit the pattern of *part and whole* seeking growth and integration by turns.
